Before it all there was Sunset Beach, a private stretch in Malibu, kin to the super wealthy, somewhat surreptitiously inhabited by the scenes very first L.A. surf radicals. (As pictured below.) Believe it or not there was an actual Gidget ... her old man was in the movies and took his daughters chronicles to the big screen and that was the end of Sunset Beach the hidden jam.
